   That people with Autism are not all intellectualy disabled and can lead normal life if given the right support.
   Both High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s (also part of the spectrum) are characterised by the individual having an iq higher than 70. Whereas Low functioning Autism is characterised by having an iq lower than 70.
   You could also argue that any person who is educating or caring for students with autism should have some training to understand Autism. I’ve seen teachers who teach Autistic students who don’t really understand the first thing about it.

   Well, you can do research from people with autistic children.
   One of my friends kid ‘was’ autistic. The mother believes that it may start from vaccines. The child is no longer autistic. Mother had to pay out of pocket to have her daughter tested on her metal levels in her body. After finding out that most of her metal levels were poisoness, the daughter was put on prescribed vitamin and minerals to balance the metals in her body. Which it did. So my friend, the mom, says; that she was glad the daughter was caught on time with autism (3 years of age) the older the child is, the hard it is to control autism.
   Now this may help you on looking at ‘reasons’ people think that autism start with everyday problems like vaccines. You may get a great argument out of this one!

   You could try writing about how autism studies should get more money or something like that. You could look up how much funding the studies get and how much help they give to the autistic kids. Also what advancements have been made in the past.
   That’s all I can think of, I agree with the ‘not much to argue’ theory.

   First off you should not listen to Burch, he obviously has some issues. The biggest debate around autism is how people “get” it. Some argue that vaccines cause it, others believe it can be genetic, others still believe that it can be caused by not receiving enough social interaction as an infant. You could simply choose which one you believe is the “cause” and argue your point.
   There are also several different “cures” ( although there truly is no cure for autism) Some believe a diet can help ( gluetin free) others believe listening therapy (Tomatis)can show improvement, etc. , etc. You could choose one technique and argue why you believe that it is a successful “cure” or not. There are millions of resources on the web….best of luck with your paper!

   Write about how autistic children should be put to death once autism is discovered. This way we will rid the world of autism. It will free tax dollars that are given as govt grants to help austism research. Too easy, shoot, I just wrote your speech for you. Make sure you cite me as creative inspiration.
