   The single greatest health crisis of our time is child malnutrition, yet it is the easiest health problem to address, requiring no expensive drugs or teams of medical personnel. It costs around $15 to save the life of one severely malnourished toddler, with a formula comprising ground peanuts, powdered milk, cooking oil and vitamins/minerals. It is manufactured by a company in France, called Nutriset, and has been declared by the U.N. agencies and the World Health Organization to be the best method to address this problem. You could start a charity that buys the formula and sends it to relief organizations.
   Sub-Saharan Africa has the worst problem. Around a fifth of all children die before reaching the age of five. Those that survive are often stunted mentally and physically from the ill affects of inadequate nutrition during rapid growth phases.
   You could start an awareness/fundraising group that could support Doctors Without Borders or another relief group that is providing food aid to children in the developing world. Another thing you could do is raise money to provide wells for clean drinking water in Africa. It costs between $1500 and $5000 to provide a permanent well for an average village.

   Understanding causes of poverty- Publicize the values of people who end up poorest and why it happened
   Understanding child- development to promote optimum, prevent harm and damage.
   Making public classroom attendance the joy it should be.
   Excellent public awareness campaign for any of these.

   there are so many out there. look at your town and see what is needed the most. my opinion would be to start a food pantry for the needy. the price of food and gas is getting to be hard on every one. you can go to the united way and they will pitch in to help you get started.
