What Is The Recent Findings About Autism And Vaccinations?

I am confused at what to do. I hear such mixed evidence out there re: whether or not I should vaccinate my son. He is 11 months old and is due for his MMR next month. I do believe in vaccinations but I also read so much about a possible link between vaccinations and autism. Not to mention my nephew was fine until his one year vaccination and now is autistic. I might choose to wait until his immune system is stronger. Just wondering what I should do….

How Can I Go About Changing The Color Of A Specific Cause’s Awareness Ribbon?

As most of you probably know, the colors of the Awareness Ribbons cover MANY different causes! For example, the yellow ribbon represents Adoptive Parents, Deployed Soldiers, Endometriosis, Equality, Hope, Liver Cancer, Liver Disease, Missing Children, Missing Persons, Suicide Prevention, Testicular Cancer, and Childhood Cancer… Is there a way that an individual can change the color for a specific cause? If so, HOW? Who or what organization do I need to address? I’m at a loss here, so I thought I’d see if anyone else has tried (or succeeded) at this same task.

How Would You Go About Getting An Autism Diagnosis For A Young Adult?

My brother showed many signs of Autism as a child and my mother neglected us so he never got diagnosed. The school labeled him ADHD but now that I’m an adult I see that his behavior was not ADHD at all. I am pretty convinced he has either Autism or Aspergers. (sp?) This is the first opportunity we’ve had to get him some answers because our biological mother is finally out of the picture. He is 19. If anyone has any help that would be great!

What Games To Play To Teach Children About Autism?

My friends and I are doing a community service project to spread awareness about autism. We are planning a roving carnival, with game stations that children can take part in to learn about autism. Basically we just wanna let them understand how it’s like to be autistic, or to learn more about autism through the game. Currently the only game we can come up with is Charades. The kids range from 7 years old to 12.
Do you guys have any suggestions for games?
