How Long Will A Person Life Who Has Aplastic Anemia?
You need to have a bone marrow transplant, if you are a sutible candidate and have a match.
Constant blood and platelet transfussions is what will keep the patient alive till a donar is found.
I dont know how long a person will live without a transplant but a person can not live forever having transfussions, the body will eventually reject the transfussions. (this could be 12/18 months or more though).
Immunosuppresive drugs are used in those who dont have a donar match.
Not all bone marrow transplants are sucessful.
