Does Anyone Have Any Ideas How I Can Raise Autism Awareness In My School?

I will be a senior in high school this fall. After high school i want to be a special education teacher and work with autistic kids. A lot of people in my school make fun of kids in the special education classes and I’m sick of it. I think it is mostly because they do not understand. I this problem can be solved and someone needs to do something, and start somewhere. Anyone have any ideas how i can raise autism awareness in my high school?

What Are The Chances I Have Breast Cancer?

I feel my chest once at the beginning of every month for bumps. My grandmother died of breast cancer 11 years ago and my mom has finally won her battle against breast cancer (which she had for about a year to fight). My mom was my grandmother’s oldest child and I’m my mother’s oldest child. Yesterday I felt a bump in my left breast and became concerned. I am only 18, but I am worried. I also have type 1 diabetes which I inherited from my grandmother’s side of the family.

Do I have high chances of having breast cancer?

I Have Secondary Breast Cancer In My Lymph Nodes And Bones? What Is My Life Expectancy?

Does anyone else have secondary breast cancer in thier bones and lymph nodes ( in my neck) ? how long have you had the secondary cancer for, I was diagnosed in August ’08. My cancer was Eostrogen Positive, I am taking hormone treatment does anyone take any complimentary medicines as well? what are they?

People With Hiv & Aids Would You To Be Part Or An Awareness Idea I Have?

I close family friend of mine has HIV. He became HIV+ about 18 yrs ago. He has lived a very good life, But these last few years his light has started to fade, he has become very ill. But even now he is still part of HIV & AIDs awareness.
But these last couple of years you hardly hear anything about aids awareness. I hear more about smoking from those truth group then anything else.
So I have an idea that i need help with. I want to cause awareness in the best way i know how, throw my photography. I would like to take photos of people with HIV & AIDs here in the U.S. of all races, all ages and all sexual orientation, and all stages. I want to say Look at all these different people that suffer from this disease. Not just blacks, or gays but all types of people. I want to give You a voice with out saying a word. I know it its a big project but i’m hoping to get this project out there and once done, into some galleries and hopefully raise some money for HIV & AIDs awareness.

I live in Dallas and that’s where this project will start. Please anyone willing to help or give me info on where i can go to get my project started and/or get some funding

What Should A School Administrator Do If Several Preschoolers In One Class Are Assessed To Have Autism?

I am an adminstrator of a private regular preschool. Before enrollment, our parents are given preschool readiness checklist. Everything sbout the child looks good until developmental delays and autism are discovered mid school year. Now we have several preschoolers with autism and our school can only accommodate one CSN per class. What do I do? How do I inform the parents of the limited accommodations? Do I disneroll?

I know that it is rare for stage 1 breast cancer to come back later and metastasize, but is it for stage 2a breast cancer? Stage 2a means no lymph nodes involved.

Anyone Have A Child Who Is Very Young And Displaying Autism Signs?

I have an 18 month old who is exhibiting all the key signs of autism. He has been referred to a pediatrician who also thinks he has autism. I am really having difficulty finding ways to help him cope. I have a lot of people helping him, but we haven’t been able to find some real key comfort things to help him.

Parents Of Children With Autism, Have You Noticed Any Changes When You Change Their Eating Habits?

I have a sweet little boy with Autism (PDD-NOS),and I was wondering if there are any parents out here that have their children on a gluten/wheat, casein/lactose, refined sugar, yeast, free diet? What other foods seems to trigger their behaviors? As a mom, Ive taken these things out of my sons diet, and I’ve noticed improvement. IF so, have you noticed any signifigance in the improvement of your child’s behavior? I would like to hear from you.

I know there are some autistic people out there that don’t difficulty in learning. I have moderate autism and a learning disability, so I just want to know how usual it is for autistic people to have a learning disability?
